Beaches and Resorts
Varna can boast with its long and wide beach strip,
covered with beautiful golden sand. The strip is
conditionally divided into several main beaches, each
not bearing clear identified borders: south, central,
north, fishermen's and naval officers.
On the south beach you can find and have fun with the
facilities of the attractive Rolba Water Slide and the
open mineral water pool. |

Aquapolis Attraction Park – the most
beautiful water park in Eastern Europe, is the first for
Bulgaria, built-up in unique Moresque-Mediterranean
style. It is situated in the north-west of Golden Sands
Resort, on the main road from Riviera Resort to Albena
Resort. The water park is located in the forest with
unique view to the sea and the whole resort complex.
Built on an area of 40 000 sq.m.кв., it combines the
natural park environment with a number of artificial
elements – pools, water slides, Jacuzzi, fountains and
waterfalls, ancient towers and ruins. е и първият в

Golf- three first-class golf courses
Nearby there are two golf courses, designed by Gary
Player, in process of finishing works near Balchik and
Kavarna, and a golf course designed by Ian Woosman near
Tabiata (Balchik). The golf courses are expected to
start work in their full capacity by the summer season
of year 2009. |

Horse-riding
There is a horse base, where you can find: elite horses
and highly qualified instructors; horses, specially
trained for steeple-chasing; riding classes for
beginners; tours around Golden Sands Nature Reserve on
horseback or on two-wheeled carriages; pony-riding for
children; donkey-safari. |

The Sea Garden is one of the symbols
of the city of Varna. Its beautiful and cool alleys are
spread on the whole seafront in the city. Characteristic
of the Sea Garden are the excellently kept garden areas,
tranquil lanes, the variety of beautiful natural green
vegetation and plenty of cultural monuments, located on
its territory. |

The Planetarium is one of the
attractions of seaside Varna. It is located in the Sea
Garden only a few meters from its central entrance.
There are 80 seats available in the star hall. |

The Dolphinarium of Varna is the
only one of that kind in Europe and is actually one of
the most entertaining attractions, which Varna offers to
its visitors. During the 30-minute show the visitors may
come round to the opinion that the sea mammals possess
incredible intelligence and receptivity. |

The Festival Complex is one of the
symbols of the city of Varna. It is situated in the very
centre of Varna, in the approximate vicinity of the
central entrance of the Sea Garden. On the territory of
the Festival Complex there are 11 halls with different
capacity and function. |

"Stoyan Bachvarov" Drama Theatre –
The design of the building corresponds to the traditions
of the European urban style from the end of the ХІХ
century. The theatre imposes its striking presence in
the cultural life not only of the city, but also
throughout the country. |

Summer Theater – It is situated in
the central part of the Sea Garden. A lot of national
and international events take place in the Summer
Theater. |

In Varna Muppet Theater you can see
The Muppet Museum - the only one of that kind on the
Balkans and one of the few in Europe. |

Varna Archaeological Museum occupies
an area of 2000 sq.m. and possesses 32 halls, exhibiting
permanent expositions: Prehistory, Antiquity, The Middle
Ages, Renaissance Iconography. The oldest gold treasure
in the world is here. Its age is dated back 4000 years
ago. |

The Naval Museum is one of the
symbols of the city of Varna. It is situated in the far
south part of the sea garden. The beautiful museum
building was constructed in 1890 for the Italian
Consular Asareto. A collection of naval cannons, the old
lighthouse of the port of Varna and one of the first
Bulgarian mine-sweepers are displayed in the park. |

Roman Therms
The Roman Therms (Baths), situated in the south-east
part of the contemporary city of Varna, are the largest
public ancient building, which has been found in
Bulgaria so far. |

Restaurants
The district offers wide variety of cuisines. You can
enjoy the Bulgarian culinary art and taste the famous
Bulgarian wide, gathered the warmth and sunshine of this
area. Together with the traditional Bulgarian dishes,
many restaurants offer Italian, French, Greek, Chinese,
German, Arab, Hungarian, Latin American, Indian and
